  Have been going to this surgery for many years. When you can actually get an appointment, I find it to be very good. The key issue though is that there seem to be an incredibly limited number of them. When I asked the receptionist, I was told that my doctor had only 8!! appointments available the next day and I would need to call on the dot of 8 o clock to stand a chance of securing one, or book today and wait 5 weeks!!! After 3 days of dutifully trying, each time getting through VERY close to 8am (i.e 8.01), I held for around 15 minutes, only to be told that all appointments are gone. It seems literally impossible to get one. Interestingly, the last time I got an appointment here was during half term when the place was practically deserted; i.e everybody had gone on holiday and that obviously took priority over their illness. Contrary to what some on here have said, I find the reception staff to be very pleasant and the doctors (if you can see a good one) are great.

  Always find it relativley easy to get an appointment. Reception staff are polite and professional. The GP I see is a no nonsense type that gets to the point quickly, however, if you need extra time he makes it and listens.

  I've always found the staff very courteous & friendly. If you're polite to them, they are to you. If you have a grievance, put it in writing to the practice manager. I use the EMIS patient access online to make or cancel appts and for ordering repeat prescriptions.
